The Wireless Energy Manager is powered by the energy it harvests from the CT clamp on the main incoming tails at the fuse board / consumer unit while charging your vehicle.
The Wireless Energy Manager has a rechargeable back up battery and it's possible to have a flat battery if not enough energy is harvested from the CT clamp. This can happen if you can't charge your car regularly.
