I’m deeply passionate about the fine details of product design, whether it’s refining the perfect shape or optimizing cable routing, these intricacies are what truly excite me. While it might sound a bit nerdy, I find immense satisfaction in the precision and thoughtfulness required to ensure every component works flawlessly.
We’ve spent months developing one of our new products, and now we’re in the final stages of fine-tuning the cable routing. But why does this matter?
Cable routing is far more than a technical necessity, it plays a crucial role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and longevity of an EV charger. Think of cables as the arteries connecting all the electronic organs of the system. Even a minor abrasion, an unprotected cable exposed to an accidental slip of an installer’s screwdriver, or a moisture-compromised cable termination can lead to critical failures, rendering the charger inoperable.
At Simpson & Partners, we meticulously design and safeguard every aspect of our chargers to prevent these vulnerabilities, ensuring that customers can charge their vehicles with absolute confidence.
Beyond functionality, great design is about thoughtful craftsmanship. Just as we strive to create beautifully designed charging products that look stunning on the outside, we believe that the internal architecture should reflect the same level of care and precision.
Every detail matters, from the first sketch to the final installation, because excellence isn’t just about how something looks, it’s about how it performs, lasts, and enhances the user experience.
