Why are we not Design Led ?

From my early days building Andersen EV, through to founding Simpson & Partners with Mandy, we’ve been guided by one principle.  To create something from nothing.

For us, creativity isn’t just about aesthetics, it’s about seeing a challenge, imagining a solution and then engineering it into reality.

True creativity means innovating with purpose. It’s improvising, iterating and solving problems in new ways. It’s what drives our software development, electronic engineering, and even our production systems. That’s why we call ourselves a creative led business.

The term “design led” gets thrown around by companies trying to signal innovation, but too often it’s a veneer. Pretty shells hiding outdated tech. Creativity, by contrast, is earned. It takes talent, curiosity, and perseverance.
It respects the customer’s intelligence and delivers products that are thoughtfully engineered from the inside out. We’re fortunate to have a management team and investors who trust our vision. They give us the space to invent, while they handle the equally important business of scaling and support.

And why does this matter?

Because our industry isn’t static. Technologies evolve; expectations shift. Customers deserve products that don’t just keep up, they lead!
Creative businesses shape the future, not repeat the past. They deliver true innovation, not a slightly tweaked version of yesterday’s best seller.
Creativity punches through the noise. It challenges the giants and their marketing budgets. It gives customers something meaningful and new, not just something “pretty.”
